"RUNNING AWAY"

Why do you keep me in the forever dark and you never let me into your heart?
Why do you run away from your feelings and you never finish what you start?
How come I have never seen the real you from the very first day that we met?
How come you hold on to your angry past with all of the hate and so much regret?
Please let me into your heart and I will show you what happiness and love really is.
Allow me to really love you and all of the sadness and anger you will no longer miss.
I know you are filled with so much confusion and I promise by the end of this day,
I'll have you safe in my arms with no pain around and finally you'll stop running away.

  2. You write great poetry. The experiential is evident and well described. I only wish that more people would deal with their anger and regrets and move to the antithesis which is joy and fullfilment.

Being able to forgive is fundemental to the abolishment of anger. Being able to let go of the regrets and use them as stepping stones erodes the pain of regrets and lets them fade as the new focus is acquired.

Life can be so complicated, but can be so beautiful if we allow it to be. Your poetry does indeed trigger powerful emotions or I wouldn't have commented on it.

Keep writing good poetry. Avoid the people and personality types that you talk about that won't change. Stay safe and remember you are a beautiful person with a great family and now a much broader community.
